Skate park in my city.

Hi has you may notice I live in Portugal.
I like it alot, it's pretty and it's almost always good weather and all that, I live in 2nd biggest city in Portugal(Porto) and I love skateboarding BUT we don't have any skateparks!!
The skaters have been requesting it for years but one was never given.
Here's the twist: We now have a chance!
I appeal to my fellow NG'ers, Plz help me and the other skaters in my city.

Plz sign this petition if you agree with the construction of a skatepark.

Skateparks aren't as great as you might expect, most of the time it's too full and when it's not full there's always a bunch of annoying smoker kids hanging about doing nothing but get in your way, I've been to a few different parks and they're all the same.
The best thing about them is that they drag other skaters away from the places it's good to skate anyway. :P

It might be different for you though, if your city is filled with skaters who have had nowhere to skate, it could just be skaters going there, however if you're having to sign a petition for it, I doubt they'll be willing to spend a lot of money on a good park.

We got a good youths program so I guess they aren't goin' to do what the States have done (you know just building a park with no good lines or space just a bunch of half-pipes) but we'll see.
It's incredible how Portugal has about 13 parks and California that's about the same size has 100+.
